Dutch Design
This fall, Dutch Design brand RKNL is planting roots in New York City. Resisting the wasteful trend of designing in one place, manufacturing in another and shipping to a third, RKNL has partnered with a Brooklyn based furniture manufacturer to create and deliver high quality furniture for American design aficionados.
Next, some pictures of my visit to the Big Apple earlier this year. During this visit, I have explored the furniture shops in New York and tried to get a feel of local taste and trends. Also, we have started with the development of a collection aimed at both the European and the US market. This mainly asks for a diversity in materials; the design signature will undoubtably be RKNL.
You can imagine that I am thrilled to take RKNL to the next level, shaping our slogan: Dutch Design, Brooklyn Crafted.
